When companies think about corporate gifting, the same handful of items come up. Mugs, pens, tote bags, water bottles. They are useful, and they are also completely forgettable, which is the problem. A gift that looks like everyone else's gift does not do the job you bought it to do.
A custom hand fan does something different. It solves a real problem the moment someone picks it up, it carries your brand at a size people can actually read, and nobody else at the conference is handing one out.
Why a Hand Fan Beats the Usual Corporate Gift
- It gets used. Most swag ends its life on the table it was set down on. A fan gets picked up because the room is warm and the recipient is holding a drink.
- It is memorable. Unexpected beats useful. A branded fan gets a reaction that a branded pen has never once received.
- The print area is large. Compared to a pen barrel, a lanyard, or a tote tag, a fan gives you artwork that reads across a room.
- It is inclusive. It suits employees, clients, and partners of any age, and it does not depend on sizing, taste, or dietary requirements.
- It travels well. Flat, light, and easy to mail, pack into welcome bags, or hand out at a trade show booth.
Minimums, Pricing, and What to Budget
The two questions every gifting manager asks first.
The minimum is 30 fans per design. That is per design, not per order. If you want one fan for employees and a different one for clients, that is two runs of 30 or more. Thirty is genuinely low for custom production, which means a small executive gift list or a single department is perfectly workable.
Pricing is tiered by volume. A single-logo standard fan (16.5 inches open) is $400 for 30, or $12 a fan at 100, and less per fan from there. XL fans (26 inches open) are $840 for 30, $900 for 50, or $15 a fan at 100. Shipping is quoted to your address, plus any sales tax. Double-sided printing, metallic lettering and other finishes move the price up. Full pricing and this season's deadlines are on our corporate holiday fans page.
Send your headcount and your per-recipient budget with your quote request and we will tell you honestly what is achievable at that number, including whether a different size or finish gets you closer.
Q4 and Holiday Gifting Deadlines
This is the part that catches companies out every year. Custom production is not a stock order, and December does not move.
We ship within 4 weeks of approved artwork and cleared payment, and delivery time comes on top of that. Working backward from the dates that matter (the full table is on our corporate holiday fans page):
| Gifts needed by | Artwork approved and payment cleared by |
|---|---|
| November 13 | Friday, October 9 |
| Thanksgiving week | Thursday, October 15 |
| December 4, for early December events | Friday, October 30 |
| December 11 | Friday, November 6 |
| December 18, the last December date we can make | Friday, November 13 |
| New Year's Eve | Wednesday, November 25 |
Those are the hard cutoffs, not the comfortable ones. Artwork approval is the variable nobody plans for, because internal sign-off on a logo layout can easily take a week or two once legal and marketing are both looking at it. Start the conversation two to three weeks before the date in the right-hand column and you will have room to breathe.
If your date has already passed, contact us anyway. Come with finalized artwork and we will tell you straight away whether it is possible. Send your logo and you will see it on a fan within 24 hours.
Branding: What You Can Put on a Fan
Every fold is print surface. Options include:
- Full-color, edge-to-edge artwork
- Single or double-sided printing, so brand on one side and a message on the other
- Logo, tagline, event name, dates, or custom illustration
- Metallic finishes where you want the artwork to catch light
- Different designs for different groups in the same order
A few examples of how companies use the space. A technology company running summer conference activations in bold brand color. A wellness brand gifting calm, pastel fans to retreat attendees. A fashion label treating the fan as a runway gift rather than swag.
What We Need From You to Quote
Send these and your quote comes back accurate the first time:
- Quantity and how many designs. Remember the 30-per-design minimum.
- Your logo as a vector file. AI, EPS, or PDF. Vector scales cleanly to any fan size.
- The font. Send the name of the Google Font you want used. Naming it removes all guesswork.
- Your brand colors as Pantone Coated codes, the ones ending in C, for both fabric and lettering. This matters more than anything else on the list. "Our brand blue" is not a specification, and it is the single most common cause of a revision round. Ask and we will send you the Pantone chart.
- Your delivery date, and whether you need one bulk delivery or shipments to individual recipients.
Materials and Sustainability
Our standard fan is FSC-certified wood with fabric that is 75% recycled cotton and polyester. The XL is bamboo with satin, and holographic fans come on PVC or bamboo where an activation calls for something louder.
For companies with sustainability commitments in procurement, this matters in a practical way: the standard fan's FSC-certified wood and recycled-blend fabric come as standard, not as a paid upgrade, and every fan is built to be reused rather than discarded at the end of the event. If sustainability is a stated requirement on your side, say so on the quote request and we will keep the entire run on the standard wood build.
When Companies Use Them
- Conferences and trade shows. A booth giveaway people actually stop for.
- Employee appreciation. Personalized fans that say thank you with some style.
- Client gifting. A luxury-feeling item that is not another bottle of wine.
- Holiday gifting. Seasonal artwork, and a gift that gets used again in June.
- Summer parties, retreats, and offsites. Practical outdoors and photogenic in every group shot.
- Product launches and brand activations. Artwork that reads across a crowded room.
Why They Outlast the Rest of Your Swag
Most corporate gifts end up in a drawer within a week. A fan gets used at outdoor events, on commutes, at other people's weddings, and at next summer's festival.
That changes how you should measure it. If you are tracking cost per impression rather than cost per unit, a gift that keeps getting carried out of the house is doing considerably more work than one that got filed in a desk drawer on day one.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the minimum order for corporate fans?
Thirty fans per design. If you need fewer than 30, our ready-made collections ship immediately with no lead time.
How much do custom corporate fans cost?
A single-logo standard fan is $400 for 30, or $12 a fan at 100. XL fans are $840 for 30, $900 for 50, or $15 a fan at 100. Shipping is quoted to your address, plus any sales tax, and finishes like double-sided printing move the price up.
How long does a corporate order take?
We ship within 4 weeks of approved artwork and cleared payment, and delivery time comes on top of that. Rush production may be available, so ask when you request your quote.
What is the deadline for holiday gifting?
Approve artwork and pay by Friday, October 30 for a December 4 event, and by Friday, November 13 for December 18, the last December date we can make. Start the conversation two to three weeks before that to leave room for internal sign-off on artwork. See all dates on our corporate holiday fans page.
Can you match our exact brand colors?
Yes. Send Pantone Coated (C) codes along with your vector logo and we match them in production. We can send you the Pantone chart if you do not have your codes to hand.
Can we order more than one design?
Yes. Each design carries its own 30-fan minimum, so separate employee and client fans would be two runs of 30 or more.
Are the fans eco-friendly?
Our standard fan uses FSC-certified wood and 75% recycled cotton and polyester fabric as standard, not as an upgrade tier. Tell us if sustainability is a procurement requirement and we will keep the whole run on that build.
Will we see the design before it is produced?
Always. Send your logo and you will see it on a fan within 24 hours, and nothing is printed until you approve the proof.
